The Guns N’ Roses “Not In This Lifetime” Tour Is Off To An Early Start

It was no April Fools joke. Guns N’ Roses kicked off their “Not In This Lifetime” tour Friday night (April 1st) with a surprise concert at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. They touted their return to the stage Friday afternoon via twitter and the line quickly began forming. The tour was officially set to kick off April 8th in Las Vegas. Fans in attendance were pumped to catch original members Slash on lead guitar, Duff McKagan on bass and the long awaited return of Axl Rose on lead vocals. This marked the first time the trio performed on stage together since the “Use Your Illusion Tour” in 1993. Also part of the G’N’R cast for the night were Dizzy Reed on keyboards, Frank Ferrer on drums, Richard Fortus on guitar and the band’s first female musician, Melissa Reese on keyboards and backing vocals. Celebrities spotted at the show included Nicholas Cage, Jim Carrey, David Arquette, Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Lana Del Rey, Lenny Kravitz and Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes. The band did not disappoint those in attendance as they ripped through some of their iconic classics including “Live and Let Die”, “Welcome To The Jungle” and “Paradise City”.
Phones were confiscated at the door, however, a few managed to slip through and video and photos of the historic reunion have have surfaced on Youtube and social media sites. Check some of the photos and video below.
