Country Singer Holly Dunn Reveals Her Fight With Cancer

Former country singer/songwriter Holly Dunn recently revealed in an interview with Hallels that in March, she was diagnosed with a rare, very aggressive form of ovarian cancer.  She has had surgery, is now having chemo treatments, but, has since grown more tumors.  Dunn went on to say “It is going to be more of a battle than I anticipated, but I have a huge faith in the healing power of God and the healing power within me that originates from my God. I look towards a future when I am completely healed and cancer free. I ask for prayers of strength and courage as this journey continues.” [su_youtube url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q_E6pUwySg” width=”400″] Holly Dunn was well known with country fans in the the late 80’s and 90’s with hits like, “Daddy’s Hands”, “You Really Had Me Going” and “Are You Ever Gonna Love Me”.  With the change in the country landscape for artists, she elected to resign her membership from the Grand Ole Opry, and stepped away from the music scene in 2003.
